Best Foods around the World

Bun Cha, Vietnam

This soup is to die for. I recommend going to the place pictured above, Bun Cha Dac Kim in Hanoi. You can get it all over Northern Vietnam though as well as some other parts of the country. If for some reason you don’t try Bun Cha, you’re luckily in one of the countries with the best food in the world such as pho, banh mi, cao lau, and egg coffee!

Cream Cake, Slovenia

In Bled, Slovenia they have this iconic dessert. It’s like half whipped cream so I’m not really sure what else there is to say, but if the whipped cream isn’t enough to sell you the rest of it is super good. On a rainy day, it’s lovely to enjoy in a cafe with a coffee but you can also get single servings in the grocery store for half the price.

Hot Dogs, Iceland

If you’re a hot dog fan to begin with get frickin ready. These are seriously so good and not to mention cheap which is very important in this pricey country.

Khao Soi, Thailand

This delightful soup is made with a coconut curry base, hand-cut noodles, a chicken drumstick and topped with fried noodles. It’s mainly found in northern Thailand in places like Chiang Mai and Pai. Definitely one of the best things I ate in Thailand and trust I had it multiple times.

Poutine, Canada

As a Canadian it would be sacriligious not to include this one. It’s one of my favourite foods ever and you should definitely be able to find a good one no matter where you are in the country. Restaurant or food truck/stalls will typically be better than fast food. I say try a classic one to start, but after that go wild. My personal favourite is a buffalo chicken ranch poutine.

Tacos, Mexico

Surely you know what tacos are unless you’re living under a rock so I won’t explain. Just make sure to go to Mexico at some point in your life and eat as many as you can.
